Inpatient Pavilion and Ambulatory Wellness Center
Recognizing the growth of the Marysville region, along with the transition from agricultural to a more suburban-like setting, Moody Nolan and Memorial worked to create a connected campus that reflects the level of care expected from a large urban facility while celebrating their local community. The 60-bed inpatient tower and freestanding ambulatory pavilion is centered around creating a new and enhanced, patient-focused care environment.

Project Complexities & Solutions
The location for the inpatient building was chosen as one that was already familiar to the community due to the existing Community Health Center which simplified site circulation and visitor experience.
The master plan identified the optimal location for new buildings, central energy requirements and enabling projects for many other site amenities tied to the adjacent city park and the neighboring healthcare-related enterprises.
The new patient tower and cancer center creates an architectural landmark for the hospital campus and serves as a visual link to the downtown corridor. The Building Permit Process and review meetings were held with the City Permit Office to clearly convey the construction phasing process and gain approval.
