The Process
From an exterior perspective, Moody Nolan repaired damaged brick and terracotta. The building’s masonry was restored to preserve its original character. Moody Nolan also replaced all windows and the parapets and roofs were repaired as well. Renovated interior space features an updated 855-seat auditorium, restored library and the addition of elevators and lifts to make the building handicap accessible.
The scope of work included programming, schematic and design documents as well as construction documents. Sitework included redesigning vehicle and pedestrian entry into the building. Bus and student drop-off areas were re-configured to emphasize a single entry for the building. This entry will focus on a passive security system to control entry into the building by all individuals. Staff and student parking lots were rebuilt and expanded to include a new visitor parking area.
