Upper Arlington School District
Elevating a 1952 school building into a dynamic learning space.
The one-story addition is part of the district’s master plan to highlight innovation in learning and accommodate growing enrollment.
Flexible and Connected Learning
Through usage of flexible, connected learning spaces and ample natural lighting, Upper Arlington looks to create a new definition of what learning looks like.
The addition created a new media center which features a wall of glass looking out to the outdoor learning space. The existing two-story classroom building was extensively renovated to transform the conventional and outdated double-loaded corridor layout into open and flexible neighborhoods of future-ready learning environments.
