Allen views design through a future-forward lens. He believes the decisions we make now will affect the world for generations to come.

As Chief Operating Officer, Allen partners with firm leadership and staff to create operational efficiencies that allow Moody Nolan to deliver project excellence and high value to clients. His implementation of day-to-day operational strategies and veracity of project financial have enabled the firm’s ongoing and sustained growth.

In his role as Director of Sustainable Design, Allen brings more than 20 years of experience addressing the impact of integrated design solutions on environmental, social and financial aspects of projects. His design approach establishes a duty to long-term impact and challenges the way we advance design to create a healthier, more equitable built environment. From energy and building materials to access to nature, Allen believes deeply in the obligation of architects to positively affect the occupants of every structure.

Allen is an inaugural member of the A&D Sustainable Design Leaders group, where he is proud to collectively influence the future of design with his peers. He has many recognitions and certifications including his WELL AP credential, placing him among a group of leading professionals who are dedicated to supporting human health and well-being in the built environment. Allen holds a Master in Architecture degree from Washington University and a BS in Architecture from The Ohio State University.
