Celebrating the past and inspiring the future—the new event center is an iconic gateway of activity for Alabama A&M students.
The facility provides a backdrop for two of the most important days on campus—convocation and graduation. With a graduation seating capacity of nearly 6,000, the University will be able to continue its long-held tradition of allowing every graduating student the privilege of bringing the whole family to the celebration.
A Hub of Campus Activity
Once inside the building, tall ceilings and ample gathering space define the main lobby. The hybrid event facility is designed to accommodate speakers, banquets, concerts, and athletic tournaments. The space is used by students and athletes alike, allowing for energy and activity on days without events.
In the student locker rooms, circular lockers with integrated seating encourages community and teamwork. The feature metal ceiling is backlit and perforated with circular holes, designed to represent a room full of lit candles—an honored campus tradition held during every graduation ceremony.
