New Terminal Garage and Administration Building
Project Description
Nashville International Airport (BNA) is one of the fastest-growing airports in North America with more than 7.1 billion in economic regional impact. As the architect, Moody Nolan helped realize the vision of a New Terminal Garage and Airport Administration Building. The building is constructed on the site of a former short-term garage and consists of approximately 3,300 parking spaces on six levels that are accessed by a double helix ramp.

Design Features
The project also includes a two-story, 64,000 sq. ft. office building for the Airport’s administration and a rooftop public plaza separately accessible by the administration and the public. The plaza and Administration Building account for nearly 50 percent of the top level of the garage. The plaza is planned as a place of rest for travelers as they disembark and as a respite area for the administration during their workday. The project includes a pedestrian bridge connecting the plaza to a future terminal. The garages and admin buildings were designed for LEED Silver and Parksmart Bronze certifications.
A second project, Moody Nolan is currently in design for a new six-story Garage B addition, to increase the existing parking by approximately 1,500 spaces to accommodate a total of 4,800 vehicles. The Garage addition will create the base for the future hotel in the next phase of work at BNA.
