Wardell believes the purpose of design is to be a beacon of hope and that if a facility supports what people are trying to be, it can be life transforming. He cherishes the ability to mentor the next generation and believes that architecture, like mentorship, is about seeing possibilities and creating a way forward through design, inclusion, and inspiring facilities.
Wardell has a passion to create spaces that nurture a sense of wonder and discovery. As the very first architect in our Houston office, Wardell spearheaded early growth and now leads as the Director of Houston Operations. His sensitive and sensible approach shines through in his leadership, mentorship, and client relationships.
Whether working with the most well-established clients or those of underserved communities, Wardell prioritizes client needs to ensure project success from conception to completion. Outside of his mentorship and community engagement, he has served as the Houston Chapter Vice President of the National Organization of Minority Architects and Co-founder of the No Profit 4 this Cause. Wardell holds his Bachelor of Architecture and BS in Architecture degrees from Kent State University.
