Bringing athletes back into the heart of the athletic district.
The new facility unifies indoor and outdoor tennis courts, bringing continuity and connection to the complex.
The six-court indoor tennis practice and competition center seats 450 spectators for both the men’s and women’s teams at The Ohio State University.
State-of-the-art courts, locker rooms, and training facilities for the athletes were a priority for the university. An office suite on the mezzanine that overlooks the indoor and outdoor courts puts the coaches in the middle of the action, regardless of where the team is practicing or competing.
An Ongoing Legacy
Spectator amenities include concessions, an impressive A/V system, and interactive hall of fame displays. The video board, at time of construction, boasts being the largest at any Big Ten tennis facility to give high-quality video to the spectators during an event.
The building is named after Coach Ty Tucker, the current men’s head coach and director of Ohio State Tennis. Coach Tucker is the winningest men’s tennis coach in Big 10 history, and this building is a testament to his legacy at the university
