Design Features

CenturyLink selected Moody Nolan to design the new Technology Center of Excellence as the main addition to the existing campus. This state-of-the-art facility provides space for employees and vendors collaborate and create innovative products and services. The three-story structure includes office space, a 30,000 sq. ft. data center, a network operations center, an executive briefing center, product demonstration areas and training facilities. Also included is a new cafeteria and dining facility to serve the entire 2,000-employee population.

In an effort to preserve the pecan orchard and provide space for future expansions, the project included a 1,050 space, five-story parking structure. This project component also houses the primary mechanical equipment for the Technology Center including boilers, chillers, cooling towers and back-up generators.

While not anticipated at the start of the design process, the ultimate site layout for the project yielded a 2.2-acre courtyard that connects the Technology Center of Excellence with the existing headquarters buildings. This landscaped area incorporates a dining plaza, a tree grove, a variety of seating areas and eleven separate pools creating comfortable microclimates to work, socialize and dine.
