The renovation and expansion is part of the hospital’s outreach program into the urban core of Columbus providing outpatient services and orthopedics care. The expansion also includes four new ORs , 16 pre/post op beds, a MRI and a CT, supporting the growing Level III Trauma Center.
This facility is in the heart of a historically neglected neighborhood with this hospital as the only convenient point of access to healthcare services in the vicinity. The Ambulatory Surgery addition is a vital component of providing better service and care within a neighborhood which Moody Nolan is deeply committed to revitalizing. This is the third, community-enhancing project delivered by Moody Nolan in a two block area within the heart of the Near East Side. When completed, The Ohio State University East Hospital addition will join the Moody Nolan designed Martin Luther King Public Library and East High School addition and renovation to further enhance the lives and well-being of residents within the community.
