Project Description
As Nationwide Children’s Hospital continues to grow clinical and research space, rapidly stretching the boundaries of the immediate campus, they have decanted much of their administrative functions to a less physically connected site across the freeway. The opportunity to create a new workspace for administrative staff and physicians also afforded them the opportunity to redefine the type of space they should provide. Moody Nolan, working closely with the NCH project leadership team to merge Nationwide Children’s rigorous facility standards with new space planning solutions, providing them with flexible work environments which can easily adapt to new work approaches over time.

Design Features
The four-story, 127,276 square foot corporate office sits on a limited site footprint within a historic neighborhood. For the convenience and safety of the hospital staff, a seven-story, 1,100 space parking garage is connected to the office building at each floor, and the garage include a below-grade space for parking and cleaning of twelve Mobile ICU’s.
The work environment provides a mix of permanent open and enclosed office space for departments such as marketing, Human Resources, scheduling, finance and billing, with hoteling and shared touch-down office space for physician’s who have medical offices in other locations, and staff who travel between numerous Nationwide Children’s facilities in the region.
