    Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC), formerly Burlington County College, consolidated multiple campuses and satellite learning centers into a single, main campus in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. RCBC hired the team of USA and Moody Nolan to design the Student Success Center for their new main campus, which is intended to create a fresh image for the College and provide a dynamic, social and collaborative environment for its students.

    Moody Nolan designed a new facility that houses a 70-yard indoor synthetic turn field for football practice and intramural use. The building adds 8,500 sq. ft. of weight training/exercise space, a three-story climbing and bouldering wall, a juice bar and other supporting spaces. The front of the building houses clinical teaching labs and classrooms for the College of Public Health.

    Anchoring the eastern edge of a small campus, this 179,000 sq. ft. multipurpose facility works with the existing hillside topography and creates a visual termination for a major pedestrian walkway. The large mass is set into the ground to reduce the project scale and accentuate the tower—now an iconic element for the college. Tucking the building into the hillside minimized impact on nearby wetlands, woods and residential neighbors.
