Project Description

The City of New Albany served as the catalyst for an innovative partnership between The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Healthy New Albany resulting in the creation of this state-of-the-art health and wellness facility. Located in the heart of a growing community, the Philip Heit Center combines medical, fitness, social and educational services to deliver proactive personalized healthcare services aimed at improving the collective health of the entire community – one that strives to be the healthiest in the United States.

Project Features

Working with The Daimler Group, Moody Nolan led the planning and design of this 55,000 sq. ft. two-story facility. Designed to match the traditional Georgian-style of architecture found throughout community, the facility serves as a gateway to the new Market & Main District. The building organization places a medical-based fitness center, lap and rehab pools, and 5,000 sq. ft. of community space that includes a demonstration kitchen and multipurpose meeting and gathering areas on the first floor with space for phsyician clinics as well as sports medicine and rehabilitation services on the second floor.
